With just Two Ingredients – It’s the easiest Caramel Sauce Recipe on the Planet

This Caramel Sauce has got to be the easiest no-cook Caramel Sauce Recipe on the planet. It’s so simple, it barely needs instructions.  With just two ingredients and a ratio of 1:1, you can not possibly go wrong.

I’ve got a fabulous idea about teaming it with grilled banana, so when I do that, I’ll let you know. But in the meantime, you can enjoy it on pancakes, with brownies, ice-cream and/or sticky date pudding – the list goes on!

Caramel Sauce Recipe

Makes 1 cup



  • small bowl or measuring cup
  • spoon


  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup hulled tahini

*That is 100% maple syrup, not the ‘maple flavoured syrup’, which is full nasty ingredients. You’ll know the difference by the price and of course the package labelling too. FYI most maple syrup comes from Canada

**Be sure to use hulled tahini, which is most commonly available and should be in most supermarkets these days. The alternative is unhulled tahini. Unhulled tahini is very strong flavoured and inappropriate in this instance.


  1. Add the maple syrup and tahini to a bowl, or leave in the measuring cup and mix with a spoon until smooth, combined and caramel in colour.

    Can I use the ‘Coconut Syrup or Agave Syrup’ instead of Maple syrup?

    I use coconut syrup for my low carb pancakes and agave in most o my vegan recipe snack balls.
